Car servicing and what to budget
A routine service and a repair solve different needs. Use these indicative budgets for scheduled maintenance; a warning light, leak or damaged part needs its own assessment and quote. The manufacturer schedule and your service history decide what is due.
Minor service
Usually AED 350 to 900, including VAT
About 1 to 2 hours- Engine oil to the approved spec
- New oil filter
- Fluid levels and leak check
- Brakes, tyres, battery and lights checked
- Air filter condition checked
Major service
Usually AED 900 to 2,500, including VAT
About 3 to 5 hours- Everything in the minor service
- Air and cabin filters when due
- Spark plugs when due on petrol engines
- Brake fluid or other scheduled fluids when due and quoted
- Itemised list of every part fitted
Let us check what is due
Tell us your model and what you need. Mileage and an old service invoice help us identify due work and avoid quoting replacements already completed.
- Make, model and year
- Current mileage
- Your last service invoice, if you have it
Prices are Dubai planning budgets including 5% VAT, not a fixed price list. Bigger engines, special oils and extra scheduled items cost more. For the full minor and major service checklist and schedule, see our car service in Dubai page.
Start from what your car is doing
You do not need to identify a failed part before calling a mechanic. Tell us when the symptom happens and whether it is getting worse. These pages explain the checks that may be needed; any paid testing is agreed before it starts.
Find repairs for your car brand
Search for your make to see model-specific repair and maintenance information. Share the model, year and engine when asking for a quote so we can check the appropriate work and parts.
Cannot find your make? Tell us the model and the work you need. Ask us on WhatsApp.
The EV filter helps you find electric-car information. Tell us your exact model: hybrids and fully electric cars need different maintenance and repair checks.
Tell your mechanic what has changed
Describe what you hear, feel or see, even if you do not know the part name. A short description helps us plan the visit and separate routine maintenance from a fault that needs testing.
Warm AC or slow starting
Tell us whether it happens at idle, after parking or on every journey. Mention any warning messages and recent battery work.
Weak airflow or a knock
Note whether airflow has weakened, or a noise appears over bumps or while turning. These concerns need different checks.
Judder, slipping or a leak
Explain whether the change occurs under braking, during a gear change or after parking. Photos of a leak can help.
Paint or cabin damage
Send clear photos of the affected panel, seat or trim. We can discuss repair and care options before inspecting the damage.

Know what you are approving
Choosing a mechanic means trusting someone with both your car and your repair budget. We explain the findings and proposed work, so you can decide before the bill grows.
- We find the cause first. An initial inspection helps identify the next check. Any paid scan or further testing is explained and agreed first.
- You get it in writing. A quote with parts and labour line by line, sent to your phone.
- You choose the parts. We explain genuine, OEM-equivalent and aftermarket options where they exist, and the price of each.
- You see the proof. Photos of what we find, and the old parts shown when the job is done.
- We tell you when it is not for us. If the concern may fall under a manufacturer warranty or recall, we flag the dealer option before you approve paid repairs.
From first call to collection
Tell us the problem
Call or WhatsApp with your model and what you notice. Mileage and photos help if available.
Agree the checks
Start with the free inspection. We confirm any diagnostic charges before testing.
Approve the quote
Review the parts, labour and expected timing. You decide which work goes ahead.
Repair and recheck
We check the completed work, road test where appropriate and show the replaced parts.
Before you book a mechanic
Practical answers about visiting our Al Quoz workshop, costs and getting your car checked.
Ask on WhatsAppWhere are your car mechanics in Dubai?
Our mechanics work at our independent workshop in Al Quoz, Dubai. We are open Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Call +971 50 608 7150 for a visit or ask for the location on WhatsApp. See our Al Quoz garage directions before travelling.
How much does a car mechanic cost?
The cost depends on the fault, the time needed and the parts selected. We provide a written repair quote with parts and labour listed separately. For routine maintenance, indicative Dubai budgets are AED 350 to 900 for a minor service and AED 900 to 2,500 for a major service, including 5% VAT. These are planning ranges, not a fixed price for every car.
Is the car inspection free?
The initial inspection is free. A computer diagnostic scan, extended fault tracing or other specialist testing can carry a separate charge, which we explain before it starts. Inspection does not include replacement parts or repairs. See our car diagnostics service for scan estimates and what is included.
Do I need a mechanic or an auto electrician?
Describe the symptom and we will help you choose the next check. Engine, brakes, steering and suspension concerns need mechanical assessment; starting, wiring and electronic warnings may also need electrical testing. Some faults involve both, so you do not need to choose a part or specialist before contacting us.
Which car makes do you work on?
We work on German, British, American, Chinese, Japanese and Korean cars, along with other makes listed in our brand finder. Share your model, year and the work needed so we can confirm the appropriate checks and parts availability.
Do you offer a mobile mechanic or workshop repairs?
The repair services described here are carried out at our Al Quoz workshop. If your car cannot be driven, call us to arrange recovery and confirm the collection details and cost before it is moved.
How long will my car repair take?
Timing depends on the diagnosis, the work approved and parts availability. We discuss the expected stay with your quote. Routine minor servicing typically takes about 1 to 2 hours and major servicing about 3 to 5 hours once work starts and the parts are ready; these are guides, not guaranteed collection times.
Can your mechanics work on electric and hybrid cars?
We offer tyres, brakes, wheel alignment, suspension, AC, 12V battery work and body repairs for supported electric and hybrid models. Tell us the exact model and concern first. High-voltage battery and manufacturer software work may need the maker's service centre.
What if my car is under a manufacturer warranty?
Tell us about the warranty or any recall before booking. We flag work that may belong with the official dealer, so you can check coverage before approving a paid repair. The applicable warranty terms and the dealer's confirmation determine what is covered.
How do I get a repair quote?
Call or WhatsApp with your car model and what has changed. The year, mileage, warning-light photos or a previous inspection report are useful if available. We explain the initial assessment, agree any paid testing and provide a written repair quote before work begins.
Need a mechanic? Talk to us
Call or WhatsApp with your car model and the problem. We will discuss the next check, confirm a visit and explain any diagnostic charges. Repair work starts after you approve the written quote.
