The Lexus twin turbo V6 engine recall
Toyota and Lexus found that machining debris may have been left inside some 3.4 litre twin turbo V6 engines (V35A-FTS) during production. It can cause knocking, rough running, a no start or engine failure while driving.
The first recall in 2024 covered 2022 and 2023 LX 600 models, with the engine replaced free. In late 2025 it was widened to 2024 LX and GX 550 models. Ask Al-Futtaim Lexus, the official UAE dealer, to check your VIN.

LX 570 and GX 460
Lexus V8 SUVs at high mileage
The LX 570, with the 5.7 litre 3UR-FE V8, and the GX 460, with the 4.6 litre 1UR-FE V8, are known for running for very long distances. Past the first 150,000 km, a few predictable jobs come up, and fixing them early keeps the engine healthy.
Secondary air injection
A check engine light with codes like P2440 or P2445, and sometimes limp mode, points to the air injection pump or valves on 2010 to 2013 V8s.

Hybrid Lexus, looked after properly
Lexus hybrids are some of the most reliable cars in Dubai. They still need a few checks that petrol only cars do not, especially in the heat.
The small battery matters too
A hybrid still uses a normal 12 volt battery to start its systems. When it gets weak, the car may not go into Ready mode or may show random warnings. We test it at every visit.
Coolant and brake checks
The inverter has its own cooling circuit that needs the correct coolant. Hybrid brakes are electronically controlled, so pad and fluid work is done with the right procedure.
Suspension and steering
Lexus SUV leaning, bouncing or pulling
Big Lexus SUVs use height control suspension, and some GX models have known handling quirks. Most can be fixed without replacing the whole system.
Height control
LX and some GX models adjust their ride height. A car that will not level, or sits low after parking, usually has a leak or a tired accumulator.
GX leaning right
Some GX 460s lean about an inch to the right. Lexus issued an updated front spring for this, so we check before suggesting parts.
Pull to one side
A GX that pulls right after an alignment can need a caster adjustment, not new parts. We set it up and road test.
Steering wheel shake
A vibration at motorway speeds is checked for wheel balance first, then the steering rack, which had a bulletin on early GX models.

Is my LX 600 part of the engine recall?
It may be. The recall covers 3.4 litre twin turbo V6 (V35A-FTS) engines that may contain machining debris. It started with 2022 and 2023 LX 600 models and was widened to 2024 LX and GX 550 models. Check your VIN with the Lexus dealer.
What are the signs of the LX 600 engine problem?
Knocking from the engine, rough running, a no start or a sudden loss of power. If you hear knocking, stop driving and contact the dealer, as the recall work is free.
Why does my GX 460 or LX 570 show a check engine light?
On 2010 to 2013 V8 models, a common cause is the secondary air injection system, with codes like P2440 or P2445. It can put the car into limp mode. We confirm by scan before quoting.
Why is my Lexus V8 losing coolant with no leak?
A common cause on high mileage V8s is the valley plate under the intake manifold. The coolant leaks into the engine valley and evaporates, so nothing drips. We pressure test to confirm.
Why does my GX 460 lean to one side?
Some GX 460s lean about an inch to the right. Lexus released an updated front spring for this. We measure the ride height on both sides before suggesting any parts.
Do you service Lexus hybrids?
Yes. We service RX, ES, NX and UX hybrids, including cleaning the hybrid battery cooling intake, testing the 12 volt battery and checking the inverter coolant.
Why will my Lexus hybrid not start?
