Stellantis has issued a manufacturer recall, campaign 68C (recall 25V-741), for 2020 to 2025 Wrangler 4xe and 2022 to 2026 Grand Cherokee 4xe models because the high voltage battery can fail and catch fire. Owners are told to park outside, away from buildings, and not to charge until the fix is done. Recall work is free at the dealer.

Dubai has plenty of 5.7 Hemi, SRT and Trackhawk Grand Cherokees and Rubicon 392s. A tick on a V8 can mean very different things, so we prove the cause before ordering parts.
Exhaust manifold
A tick on cold start that fades as the engine warms often comes from a cracked exhaust manifold or broken bolts, reported on 2019 to 2022 cars.

Track bar geometry
After a lift the axle can sit off centre. An adjustable track bar puts it back.

Torque the bolts
Suspension bolts must be torqued to spec at ride height, then checked again after a few hundred km.

How we find a wobble
Our four step Jeep front end inspection
Death wobble is rarely one part. We test the whole front end in a set order, so we replace what is worn and nothing else. You get photos and a written quote before any work.
Bolt torque check
Track bar, control arm and steering bolts checked at ride height. A loose track bar bolt is a common and cheap cause.
Dry steer test
Wheels on the ground, steering turned back and forth while we watch every joint for movement.
Lift and pry test
Wheels off the ground. Ball joints, tie rod ends and wheel bearings tested for play one by one.
Highway road test
After the repair, a road test over joints and bumps at speed, then a proper alignment.

24V-132Upper control arm pinch bolt
2021 to 2023 Grand Cherokee L and 2022 to 2023 Grand Cherokee (WL). The upper ball joint can separate from the steering knuckle. Dealers replace the pinch bolts free. If you feel a clunk or vague steering, check this first.
23V-352Steering intermediate shaft
2021 to 2023 Grand Cherokee L and 2022 to 2023 Grand Cherokee (WL). The intermediate shaft can separate from its U joint, a loss of steering control risk. Early signs are steering play or noise when turning.
68C4xe high voltage battery
2020 to 2025 Wrangler 4xe and 2022 to 2026 Grand Cherokee 4xe. Park outside and do not charge until the dealer fixes it.

What should I do if death wobble starts while driving?
Hold the wheel firmly and slow down steadily without hard braking. The shaking stops as speed drops. Then book a front end check before driving at highway speed again.
Why is my Jeep leaking oil from the top of the engine?
On the 3.6 Pentastar, a common source is the plastic oil filter and cooler housing in the engine valley. Oil there does not always mean the housing has cracked, so the exact source should be confirmed before replacing parts.
Why does my Jeep 3.6 engine tick?
A steady tick, often worse on start up, points to worn rocker arms, mostly on 2011 to 2014 engines. Caught early, replacing the rockers may be enough. Left too long, the camshaft can be damaged.
Why does my 5.7 Hemi tick?
