Lamborghini has been owned by Audi AG, within the Volkswagen Group, since 1998. Some of its engines and systems are shared with Audi, Porsche and Bentley, which helps with diagnosis and parts.
5.2 V10
The V10 family is shared with the Audi R8. The Huracan uses the 7 speed LDF dual clutch gearbox.
6.5 V12
Lamborghini's own V12. The Aventador uses a single clutch ISR gearbox. The Revuelto adds hybrid power.

Dubai traffic wears Lamborghini clutches
Stop start driving is hard on every Lamborghini clutch. Specialists report Huracan clutches wearing in about 25,000 to 50,000 km of city driving, and early Gallardo e-gear cars sooner.
Read the wear first
The gearbox computer stores clutch wear values. We read them by scan, so you know how much life is left before anything is taken apart.
Gallardo e-gear
Slow or jerky shifts and a whining pump point to the e-gear pump, actuator or sensors. Early 2003 to 2009 cars are the most affected.
Aventador ISR
The single clutch ISR gearbox needs a healthy clutch, hydraulics and a correct calibration. Harsh shifts are diagnosed before parts are ordered.
Drive to save the clutch
Avoid creeping in traffic, holding the car on a slope with the throttle and launching often. These habits wear a clutch faster than speed does.
Urus
Lamborghini Urus air suspension, turbos and software
The Urus is Dubai's most common Lamborghini by far. Its weak spots are well known and mostly fixable before they become expensive.
Air suspension
A Urus that sits low or shows a suspension warning often has a small leak that overworks the compressor. We find the leak before replacing the compressor or module.
Wastegate actuator
A turbo actuator fault brings up an engine light and can cut power. It is a known Urus part and is tested by scan before replacement.
Software and screens
Frozen screens and odd module faults are often fixed with an update. Hardware is only replaced when the scan shows it has failed.
Brakes on a heavy SUV
The Urus weighs over two tonnes, so pads and discs work hard. Steel and carbon ceramic brakes are both measured and recorded.
Huracan and Aventador
Huracan and Aventador sensors, screens and nose lifts
Beyond clutches, the faults owners report most are electrical and hydraulic.
Magnetic ride sensors
A Huracan suspension warning or a harsh ride often comes from one corner sensor. We read each corner so only the failed sensor is replaced.
Screen delamination
On 2014 to 2017 Huracans, Dubai heat can lift the layers of the touchscreen. It shows as bubbles or patches and is a known repair.
Aventador nose lift
The lift that raises the front over ramps uses a hydraulic pump and seals. Slow lifting or leaks are checked before a pump is quoted.
Intermittent warnings
Lights that come and go are traced with a full scan, battery test and wiring checks, not simply cleared and sent home.
Brakes, tyres and heat
Lamborghini carbon ceramics and summer care
Carbon ceramic brakes last a long time, but discs are very expensive. Tyres and heat are the other running costs to plan for in Dubai.
Brake pads
Pads are checked at every visit and replaced before they reach the sensor. The Dubai guide is AED 2,000 to 4,000 for a set.
Carbon ceramic discs
These discs wear by weight, not just thickness. We measure and record them each visit and only quote new discs when they are worn or damaged.
Tyres in the heat
Hot roads raise tyre pressures and age the rubber. We check pressures, tread and the date code, as old tyres can look fine but grip poorly.
Battery for stored cars
Lamborghinis that sit for weeks drain their battery and log false faults. A trickle charger and a battery test before summer avoid both.

Why does my Aventador nose lift not work?
The nose lift uses a hydraulic pump and seals that wear. We check for leaks and pump function before quoting a pump or seal kit.
Do you work on carbon ceramic brakes?
Yes. We measure and record carbon ceramic discs at every visit and replace pads, sensors and fluid. Discs are quoted only when wear or damage is confirmed.
What warranty does a new Lamborghini have?
The newest models, the Temerario, Revuelto and Urus SE, have five years of standard cover, with eight years on hybrid batteries. The Selezione extension can take cover up to ten years from first registration.
Will an independent service affect my Lamborghini warranty?
