Start with the complete fitted job

Subaru service and repair prices

General Dubai planning ranges, not fixed Subaru tariffs. Match the engine, model year and fitted equipment before comparing quotes.

Minor service

AED 350–900Per vehicle · including 5% VAT

Specified engine oil, oil filter, routine labour and agreed checks. Other filters, due fluids and fault repairs are extra unless listed.

Major service

AED 900–2,500Per vehicle · including 5% VAT

Routine service plus the filters, plugs or scheduled fluids actually due and named in the quote. Timing work and fault repairs are separate.

Brake pads

AED 265–850Per axle · including 5% VAT

Compatible pads for both wheels and routine fitting. Discs, sensors, calipers and extra hardware are separate. Performance brakes may cost more.

Discs and pads AED 840–2,100 per axle, conventional parts and routine fitting.

Wheel alignment AED 157.50–315 per vehicle, measurement and routine adjustment.

Both additional guides include 5% VAT. Caliper faults, worn suspension parts, seized adjusters and extra calibration are separate. CVT, clutch and engine repairs need a vehicle-specific estimate.

Agree the checks before the bill

The initial inspection is free. Agree any paid investigation or dismantling first, then review the findings, parts, labour, fluids and exclusions in your written quote.

Boxer engines need the right assessment

Oil leaks, heat or rough running

Confirm the actual engine and its service history. A naturally aspirated Forester, an older EJ engine and a turbo WRX can need different work.

Oil loss or visible leaks

Report top-ups, oil spots and when smoke appears. Locate the leak before choosing seals or larger engine work. Oil loss alone does not prove a head-gasket failure.

Rough running or reduced power

Share the exact warning and whether it happens cold, hot or under load. Ignition, intake, fuel and mechanical checks answer different questions; disclose tuning on a modified WRX.

Coolant loss or rising temperature

Identify the affected component before replacing assemblies. Bring timing-drive records; the engine version determines the applicable belt or chain requirements and schedule.

One useful choice before the quote

Which gearbox does your Subaru have?

Choose the fitted transmission. If unsure, send the VIN and year before booking.

A shudder needs findings before a rebuild

Describe cold or hot behaviour, pulling away, delayed engagement and the complete warning. Confirm the fitted transmission, relevant fault checks, fluid condition and previous work. A scan alone does not establish internal failure.

Before approving work

Compare servicing, a proven component repair and larger repairs separately. Use the correct fluid and procedure; a fluid change is not a guaranteed cure for mechanical damage.

Separate clutch, hydraulics and gearbox faults

Report slip under load, difficult engagement or a noise with the pedal pressed. The clutch, release mechanism, hydraulics and gearbox can produce different symptoms. Mention an upgraded clutch or changed engine.

Before approving work

Ask which clutch parts, any justified flywheel work, fluids and removal/refitting are included. Approve the complete fitted job rather than a parts-only price.

A BRZ automatic is not Lineartronic

The UAE BRZ automatic uses a six-speed conventional automatic. Older Subarus can also have conventional automatics. Identify the actual unit before selecting fluids, maintenance or a repair.

Before approving work

The UAE WRX offers manual or Subaru Performance Transmission, described as Sport Lineartronic. The model badge alone does not identify every gearbox.

Maintenance and fault repair are different jobs

Gearbox and differential fluids have their own requirements. A major service does not automatically include every driveline fluid or a repair. Agree the due work and any additional setup.

Transmission service and repair

Model, market and modifications

Which Subaru do you drive?

The UAE range lists Forester, Crosstrek, WRX and BRZ. Older Outback, Legacy, Impreza, XV and Tribeca enquiries need their year, engine and parts requirements confirmed.

Older Subaru Forester model reference
SUVs and crossovers

Forester · XV

Include Crosstrek or Outback details, gearbox type and the complete tyre set. Share any CVT warning, suspension noise or cabin-cooling concern.

Saloons and older models

Impreza · Legacy

Identify the generation, transmission and service history. For Tribeca or imports, check parts availability and the supported work before visiting.

Performance and rear-wheel drive

WRX · STI · BRZ

Disclose tuning and changed hardware. BRZ is rear-wheel drive; match clutch, gearbox, tyres and brakes to the actual car.

Buying used? Agree which engine, cooling, gearbox, tyre and modification checks are included. A basic scan cannot establish every fault or guarantee future reliability. Hybrid or electric imports need separate capability confirmation.

Keep the service list specific

What your Subaru quote should cover

AWD tyres and the ride

Check the complete tyre set against the handbook before replacing one tyre or mixing worn and new pairs. Size, type, wear and rolling circumference matter. Investigate binding, bearing noise or suspension play before alignment.

Oil, filters and due fluids

Use the engine-specific oil approval, quantity and schedule. List due filters, plugs, brake fluid, coolant and driveline fluids separately; one interval or oil grade does not suit every Subaru.

AC, electrical and EyeSight

Describe weak airflow, warm air, a no-start or the complete warning. Mention windscreen, collision or suspension work on EyeSight-equipped cars. Confirm diagnostic access and calibration separately from wheel alignment.

Parts, timing and repair cover

Compare genuine or named compatible alternatives matched to the VIN and modifications. Ask for parts lead time, labour, associated fluids, setup and written repair-cover terms before approval.

Subaru Select Monitor access and job-specific tests must be confirmed before specialist work. Check factory warranty, recalls and restricted software work with the authorised provider first.

How much does Subaru servicing cost in Dubai?

General Dubai planning guides are AED 350–900 for a minor service and AED 900–2,500 for a major service per vehicle, including 5% VAT. Standard brake pads are AED 265–850 per axle. These are not fixed Subaru tariffs; exact parts, due items and repairs determine your written quote.

Will a CVT fluid change fix a shudder?

Not necessarily. A fluid service addresses an identified maintenance need. A shudder, delay or warning needs investigation before choosing servicing, component repair or larger work. Confirm the fitted transmission, correct fluid and procedure.

Does every Subaru have AWD and a CVT?

No. BRZ is rear-wheel drive and is offered with a manual or conventional automatic transmission. The UAE WRX offers manual or Subaru Performance Transmission, described as Sport Lineartronic. Identify the year and fitted gearbox before booking.

Can I replace just one tyre on an AWD Subaru?

Check the complete set against the exact vehicle handbook first. Tyre size, type, tread pattern, wear and rolling circumference matter. Alignment does not correct mismatched tyre circumferences.

Are Subaru oil leaks always a head-gasket problem?

No. Identify the leak and engine version first. Oil or coolant loss alone does not establish head-gasket failure. Ask for the findings before approving seals, cylinder-head work or an engine rebuild.

Can you help with EyeSight, imports or modified cars?

Send the VIN, market, modifications and exact issue. Confirm parts compatibility, diagnostic access and any calibration before booking. Factory warranty, recall and restricted software requests should go through the authorised provider.
