Start with the job you need and compare what the price buys. The VIN, fitted brakes, suspension and selected parts determine your written quote.

General planning estimates from our service guides, including the named parts, routine fitting and a 5% VAT allowance. These are not confirmed Polestar tariffs. Performance brakes, adaptive suspension and additional damage can exceed these ranges. Charging, thermal-system, software and traction-battery work need an assessed quote and capability check.

Price the work for your exact car.

Send the model, year, mileage and concern. Ask for testing, parts, fitting, VAT and any calibration on one quote.

Choose the closest concern

Charging trouble? Make the next step clear.

Select the symptom to see what information helps. These are enquiry checks, not a remote diagnosis.

AC charging stops or will not start.

Tell us whether DC charging works and whether the concern repeats at another compatible, known-working AC point.

Save the message and settings

Send the error, charger and cable details, charging limit and any active schedule. A cable or charging-point issue can look like a vehicle fault.

Separate inlet and onboard charging

The inlet, locking mechanism, electrical supply and onboard AC charger need different checks. Confirm the tests and diagnostic access before booking.

Slow charging is different from failure.

Battery temperature, state of charge, charger output and preconditioning can change the charging power. One slow session does not establish battery damage.

Record the charging conditions

Share starting charge level, displayed kW, station rating and whether another suitable station gives the same result.

Identify repeated interruptions

A session that repeatedly fails, a red warning or a damaged inlet needs assessment. High-voltage work requires the correct equipment, training and access.

Check the low-voltage concern separately.

A healthy traction-battery charge reading does not rule out a problem with the car’s 12-volt supply or control systems.

Describe the response

Do the locks, lights and screens respond? Is the key recognised? Send the displayed warning and any recent charging or software event.

Arrange the right assessment

Low-voltage testing, restricted programming and traction-battery repairs are different jobs. Confirm acceptance and follow model-specific recovery instructions if the car cannot move.

Model, year and original market

Know which Polestar you are booking.

The model name alone does not establish parts compatibility or diagnostic access. Send the VIN for imports and unfamiliar specifications.

Polestar 2Share Single motor or Dual motor, model year and any Performance pack. Brake and wheel specification affect the work.
Polestar 3Include suspension equipment, wheel sizes and any chassis or driver-assistance message. Confirm the exact version.
Polestar 4Send charging, screen, camera or Digital Key symptoms and the software version. Polestar 2 parts and procedures do not automatically apply.
Polestar 1 & newer enquiriesPolestar 1 is a plug-in hybrid with engine maintenance. For Polestar 5 or other enquiries, confirm acceptance and parts before booking.

Battery-electric models do not need a conventional combustion-engine oil service. Each model still has its own maintenance plan, fluids, lifting points and safety procedures. Tell us about underbody impact or fluid loss before bringing the car in.

Brake disc and caliper inspection at a workshop
Maintenance beyond charging

Keep the chassis working properly.

Regenerative braking reduces some friction-brake use; it does not remove the need to inspect the brakes or maintain the rest of the car.

Brakes and brake fluid

Check pads, disc surfaces, caliper operation and fluid requirements. Noise or vibration should be assessed before selecting replacement parts. Performance equipment needs a compatible quotation.

Tyres, steering and suspension

Uneven wear, vibration or knocking can involve tyres, alignment or worn components. Check the cause before fitting parts; tyre rotation is not appropriate for every wheel setup.

Service timing and records

Follow the car’s notification and model-year schedule. Polestar 2’s UAE guidance generally allows up to two years or 30,000 km; warnings and worn parts should be checked sooner.

Compare brake repair and wheel alignment by their included work.

Choose the appropriate work

Routine maintenance or specialist assessment?

Agree the procedure before the appointment. An independent service visit and manufacturer warranty work have different requirements.

Maintenance and wear

Agree parts and fitting.

  • Cabin filters, conventional brakes, tyres and chassis concerns need the fitted specification checked.
  • Compare genuine parts with named compatible alternatives and confirm lead times.
  • Request the applicable parts and labour warranty in writing.
Specialist EV work

Confirm access and capability.

  • Battery-pack opening, high-voltage diagnosis and restricted programming need specific competence and equipment.
  • A generic code reader does not cover every Polestar module or procedure.
  • Check recalls or potential factory warranty cover before approving paid work.

Mechanics is an independent workshop. Consult the Polestar UAE ownership and warranty information for manufacturer cover and its conditions. Original market, service history and vehicle eligibility matter; we do not process factory warranty claims as the manufacturer’s service network.

Electrical and cabin comfort

Separate the system from the symptom.

A warning, warm cabin and lost phone connection need different tests. Share the message rather than choosing a component in advance.

12-volt supply and control systems

A charged traction battery does not establish that low-voltage power is healthy. Confirm the battery specification and required replacement procedure; see our battery replacement guidance.

AC, heat pump and thermal management

Poor airflow, warm air and a thermal warning are different complaints. Check the cabin filter, refrigerant circuit and fitted heat-pump equipment as relevant. Confirm EV capability before booking specialist cooling work.

Google built-in, TCAM and software

For Android Automotive, internet, app or Digital Key concerns, send the software version and error. Connectivity diagnosis, an OTA update and restricted module programming are different procedures. Polestar-specific access, including VIDA where applicable, must be confirmed.

Before you book

Polestar repair questions.

Costs, servicing, charging and the work to confirm before a visit.

How much does Polestar servicing cost in Dubai?

The fitted parts and work determine the quote. General planning guides include cabin filters at AED 105–315 per vehicle and standard brake pads at AED 265–850 per axle, including routine fitting and 5% VAT. These are not fixed Polestar tariffs. Performance brakes and specialist EV work need a specific quotation.

Does an electric Polestar need an engine oil change?

Battery-electric Polestar 2, 3 and 4 models do not have a combustion engine or its routine engine-oil service. Polestar 1 is a plug-in hybrid and needs a different maintenance plan. Confirm the model and year before buying a package.

Why does DC charging work when AC charging fails?

AC and DC charging use different equipment and vehicle functions. The cable, charging point, inlet, settings or onboard AC charging can need separate checks. Share the exact message and what works rather than assuming the traction battery has failed.

Does reduced range mean the battery needs replacement?

No. Driving conditions, cabin climate use, temperature, tyres and charging conditions can affect displayed or achieved range. A battery state-of-health assessment is different from the range estimate on the screen. Confirm the test method, available diagnostic access and warranty route before approving battery work.

Can a charged traction battery rule out a 12-volt fault?

No. On Polestar 2, the 12-volt battery supplies the primary electrical system while the high-voltage battery provides propulsion. If locks, screens or controls do not respond, the low-voltage supply still needs assessment. Follow the exact model’s manual for assistance; do not attempt work on the high-voltage system.

How often should I service my Polestar?

Follow the car’s service notification and the correct model-year maintenance schedule. Polestar’s UAE guidance for Polestar 2 generally allows up to two years or 30,000 km. That is not a reason to delay investigating a warning, worn tyre or brake concern. Confirm the required items rather than buying a generic engine-oil service package.

Can you carry out software updates or high-voltage battery work?

We confirm the exact work, diagnostic access, equipment and technician capability before accepting specialist jobs. An OTA update, restricted module programming and opening a battery pack are different procedures. Manufacturer recalls and factory warranty claims should go through the authorised Polestar network.

What should I send before booking a visit?

Send the model, year, mileage, original market for an import and a photo of the warning. For charging, say whether it is AC or DC. Ask about appointment and pickup availability; an enquiry is not a confirmed booking.
