Refit a sound mirror
If the mirror is intact, inspect the bracket and mounting button first. A failed attachment can need a different repair from a loose adjustment joint. Check the windshield around the mount before refitting.
MECHANICS IN AL QUOZ
A cracked reflection, a loose mirror, or failed auto-dimming makes the view behind harder to judge. Mechanics checks your interior mirror and its mount, then explains whether refitting, a component repair, or replacement is suitable.
Budget AED 300–650 for a compatible manual mirror or AED 800–1,800 for an auto-dimming replacement, including normal fitting and 5% VAT. The table explains the scope.

START WITH THE FAILED PART
An interior mirror sits above the dashboard. Door-mounted mirrors have different glass, motors, and wiring. For those, use our side mirror repair service.
If the mirror is intact, inspect the bracket and mounting button first. A failed attachment can need a different repair from a loose adjustment joint. Check the windshield around the mount before refitting.
Cracked glass, distorted reflection, or a failed dimming layer needs assessment of the exact mirror. Some units allow a suitable component replacement. Others are supplied as complete assemblies.
A mirror that will not dim or display a camera image is not automatically a failed mirror assembly. Check its power supply, connections, settings, and related equipment before ordering a replacement.
Do not pull a loose mirror from the windshield. Support the situation safely and arrange an assessment. If it is hanging, obstructing your view, or connected to loose wiring, tell us before driving to the workshop.
COMPARE THE WORK AND FITTED COST
Choose the row that matches the interior mirror and the work required. A door mirror is a different service, and a digital mirror needs a vehicle-specific estimate.
Estimated Dubai budgets, not fixed offers. Figures include 5% VAT for the stated scope. Parts and labor are included only as described. The exact vehicle, fault, and part choice determine the written quote.
| Work | Estimated AED | Included work and limits |
|---|---|---|
| Refit a sound interior mirror | 250–500 | Mount preparation, suitable bonding materials where needed, normal refitting, and stability checks. Excludes a new mirror, broken mounting hardware, and windshield repair. |
| Replace a manual day and night mirror | 300–650 | One compatible new basic mirror, normal removal and fitting, adjustment, and stability checks. The existing windshield mounting area must be suitable. |
| Replace an auto-dimming mirror | 800–1,800 | One compatible replacement assembly, normal fitting, connection, and function checks. Genuine premium units, extra wiring, and additional integrated features can cost more. |
| Digital mirror or camera-linked assembly | Vehicle-specific quote | Identify the mirror, camera, connectors, and required setup first. The written quote must separate mirror replacement from camera or wiring work. |
Inspection and extra work Mechanics offers a free car inspection. Detailed fault tracing, removal, or bench testing may carry a separate charge, agreed before it starts. Ask whether that charge is included or credited in the final repair quote so it is not counted twice.
Before approval The written quote should show the selected part, labor, any required setup or license, VAT, expected collection, and applicable warranty terms. Additional glass, wiring, connected-system, or pickup work needs separate agreement.

MATCH WHAT YOUR CAR ALREADY HAS
A manual mirror changes its reflective angle using a lever or the fitted adjustment. Check that the joint holds its position and that both settings provide a usable view.
An auto-dimming mirror uses its fitted light sensors and electronics. Obstructed sensors can affect its operation. Confirm the exact unit and connector rather than replacing it with a basic mirror that loses useful functions.
A digital rear view mirror can depend on a rear camera, wiring, and display settings. Some have a reflective mode. Check the vehicle’s actual equipment before deciding which component needs repair.
FROM INSPECTION TO A SECURE FIT
The replacement should restore the intended view and functions without leaving a loose mount or disturbed trim.

Check the mirror, joint, bracket, mounting button, and surrounding glass. Look for damage from previous adhesive, a forced removal, or a hanging accessory.
Match the part and useful functions before removal. The quote should identify whether the original housing, mounting components, or electrical connections can remain.
Follow the method for the vehicle and mounting system. If an adhesive repair is appropriate, preparation and curing requirements affect when the mirror can be loaded and adjusted.
Check stability, adjustment, day and night or dimming operation, and any integrated functions included in the work. Refit covers and confirm there is no loose trim.
LOOK BEYOND THE MIRROR GLASS
The mirror mount can share a small area with covers, sensors, and a driver-assistance camera. A mirror replacement and a camera calibration are separate procedures.

Plan the collection time around the repair. Parts sourcing, a bonding procedure, or electrical diagnosis can extend the visit. Confirm the timing after the mirror and mount have been inspected.
PARTS AND FIT
Appearance alone is not enough. Send a photo of the connector and part number when available, but do not remove trim or electrical connectors just to obtain it.
Confirm the mounting foot, housing, connector, and equipment. Features such as dimming, a compass, or a camera display must match the intended specification.
Ask which functions are retained, what fitting changes are needed, and what coverage applies. An alternative should not be described as equivalent without checking those details.
If considered, inspect condition, attachment points, electrical operation, and return terms. A low part price can still leave additional fitting or setup costs.
Use the specified mounting parts and a suitable bonding procedure where applicable. General household adhesive is not a substitute for the correct repair.
After fitting follow any adjustment or curing instructions, keep the sensors clear, and avoid hanging loads from the mirror. Report movement, distortion, or a recurring electrical fault.
BEFORE YOU ARRANGE THE WORK
Clear answers about fitting, mirror features, and the visit.
Estimated budgets are AED 250–500 to refit a sound mirror, AED 300–650 for a compatible manual replacement, and AED 800–1,800 for an auto-dimming replacement. These scopes include normal fitting and 5% VAT. Digital mirrors, premium genuine parts, windshield damage, and extra electrical work need a separate quote.
Possibly, if the mirror, mounting parts, and surrounding glass are suitable. A detached bonding button, a loose joint, and a broken bracket need different repairs. Have the mount assessed before adding adhesive.
Not automatically. The glass condition and mounting damage determine the next step. A crack, chip, or damaged attachment area may need glass work before a mirror can be safely secured.
It depends on the construction and available parts. A manual mirror and an auto-dimming assembly can have different repair options. The inspection should explain whether a component replacement or complete unit is appropriate.
Settings, obstructed sensors, power, connections, or the mirror electronics may be involved. Check the fitted system before replacing the unit. Tell us whether other integrated functions still operate.
A blank or poor picture can involve the camera, wiring, power supply, or mirror display. It does not establish which component has failed. The quote should identify the diagnosed problem.
Not every mirror job requires it. If related camera hardware, its bracket, or windshield work is involved, follow the vehicle-specific requirements. Ask for any necessary calibration to be identified separately.
Timing depends on parts availability, mounting preparation, any specified curing period, and electrical checks. Confirm the collection plan after inspection rather than assuming every mirror can be changed immediately.
Send the model, year, a clear mirror photo, and a description of the damage. Mention dimming, display, or other fitted features. We will confirm what inspection is needed and explain the applicable fitting and warranty terms.
