A sequential gearbox needs the right checks
BAC lists a six-speed sequential Hewland FTR transmission for the Mono R, with paddle-operated pneumatic gear selection. That distinction matters when describing a missed shift. Is a BAC sequential gearbox the same as a conventional automatic?
The Mono R specification describes a six-speed sequential gearbox with pneumatic paddle-operated selection. The mechanical unit and selection system need checks suited to the exact car. A general automatic-transmission service is not a substitute for that assessment.
Can an oil change fix a gearbox warning?
Not necessarily. A fluid service addresses a maintenance need. It does not repair a failed electrical component or worn internal parts. The cause of the warning and the correct service procedure should be established before fluid work is proposed as a remedy.
What warranty applies to the agreed repair?
