The product needs to meet the approval for your model, engine and cooling circuit. OAT, HOAT and Volkswagen G12 or G13 labels describe different coolant families or specifications. A pink, blue or green colour alone cannot establish compatibility.
For example, Volkswagen describes its G12evo coolant as compatible with predecessor products such as G13. That specific compatibility statement does not mean every coloured coolant can be mixed. Check the vehicle information and product approval before selecting a replacement.
Premix, concentrate and quantity
Ready-mixed coolant already contains water. Concentrate needs the specified water quality and dilution. The correct concentration follows the vehicle and product requirements, rather than an assumption that stronger coolant always protects better.
A concentration check can help assess the mixture, but it does not prove the whole system is clean or identify every previous product. Tell us about unknown top-ups, tap water, previous repairs or a change of coolant type.
Hybrid and electric cooling circuits
Some vehicles have separate cooling circuits for the engine, inverter or other electrical components. They may have different fluid and bleeding requirements. Identify the actual circuit needing service and confirm suitable workshop support before agreeing specialist work.
