How much does windshield replacement cost in Dubai?
Our planning table starts around AED 475–895 for a compact or mid-size sedan with aftermarket glass, or AED 840–1,470 with OEM-branded glass. These fitted estimates include a 5% VAT allowance and are not confirmed Mechanics tariffs. The vehicle, glass features and any separate camera calibration determine your final quote.
Can I drive immediately after replacement?
No. Wait until the installer confirms the minimum drive-away time for the adhesive and conditions, with the required checks and camera work completed. Installation time alone does not establish when the car can safely be released.
Will you replace the windscreen at my home?
This page covers work booked through our Al Quoz workshop. Call to confirm the fitting location and any transport arrangements before booking. We do not promise mobile fitting for every vehicle or job.
Does my insurance cover windscreen replacement?
Check the glass section of your policy and ask your insurer about approval, excess, permitted repairers and calibration coverage before authorising work. Cover varies. Contact Mechanics to discuss the quote, but do not assume direct billing or insurer approval is included.
Is a repaired chip guaranteed to pass RTA testing?
No. The authorised testing centre assesses the vehicle. Glass condition and visibility are included in RTA's published light-vehicle checklist. An assessment can explain the repair options, but it cannot promise the official inspection result.
What should I send for a quote?
Start with the make, model, year, a close photo of the damage and a wider photo of the screen and mirror area. Tell us about assistance warnings, rain sensors, head-up display or heating if fitted. We may request the VIN to match the exact part.
