Hemi tick
A tick that fades when warm is usually manifold bolts; one that stays with a misfire points to lifters. We diagnose before buying parts.
TIPM power module
Lights work but the car will not start, or the horn and wipers act alone. We test the battery first, then the TIPM and fuel pump relay.
Harsh or late shifts
A hard 2nd to 1st downshift or a clunk when cold. We scan the gearbox, check fluid and software, then test the valve body.
Alternator and charging
A battery light, a flat battery or stalling. Several alternator recalls covered these years, so we check your VIN before you pay for anything.
Control arm bushes
Clunks over speed bumps and uneven tyre wear. We inspect the arms on the lift, replace only worn parts and align the car.
Pacifica
Shudder or hard 3 to 4 shift
A low speed shudder or a harsh 3 to 4 shift. A software update comes first, then fluid, with valve body work only if it persists.
Screen freezes or reboots
The screen freezes, reboots or drops CarPlay. A reset or software update often fixes it before any head unit is replaced.
Battery drain and stalling
A dead battery after a few days parked, or stop start faults. We test the battery, ground connections and parasitic drain first.
Grand Voyager
Late or harsh shifts
The UAE Grand Voyager pairs a 3.8 V6 with a 6 speed automatic. Late or harsh shifts get a code read, fluid check and road test first.
Doors stop part way
Power sliding doors that stall, reverse or will not latch. We test the motor, cable, latch and the wiring that flexes with the door.

Age brings cooling leaks, tired engine mounts and weak AC. We list what is urgent, what can wait, and confirm parts availability before starting.

Warning signs
Chrysler warning signs you should not ignore
Some Chrysler warnings can wait a week, others can ruin an engine within a few kilometres. Here they are sorted by urgency. For anything in the red column, call us for recovery.
- Temperature high or steamPull over and switch off. Driving on can warp the cylinder heads, so we arrange recovery to Al Quoz instead.
- Oil pressure warningLow oil pressure can ruin bearings and Hemi lifters within minutes. Check the level when safe and call us before restarting.
- Flashing engine lightA heavy misfire that can overheat and damage the catalytic converter. Slow down and book recovery rather than driving on.
- Hemi tick that stays warmPossible lifter wear. Caught early, the camshaft can often be saved and the repair stays far smaller.
- Oil in the engine valleyUsually the 3.6 V6 filter housing. The leak grows with every heat cycle and can end with oil and coolant mixing.
- Harsh shifts or shudderA clunk, shudder or late shift on the 8 or 9 speed. Fluid and software checks now prevent heavier gearbox wear.
- Cold start tick that fadesUsually broken exhaust manifold bolts. Not urgent, but the exhaust leak and the noise grow over time.
- Clunks over speed bumpsUsually worn control arm bushes, which also wear your tyres unevenly and make the car wander.
- AC weaker than last summerOften a slow refrigerant leak. Fixing it now costs far less than a compressor that has run short of gas.

Hemi or Pentastar: what is under your Chrysler
Chrysler shared a small family of engines with Dodge and Jeep, so the weak points are well known and parts stay available. Your engine and gearbox tell us where to look first.
Pentastar V6
Six cylinders and a plastic oil filter and cooler housing in the valley. Smooth and economical, but watch for leaks.
Hemi V8
Eight cylinders, two spark plugs per cylinder. MDS shuts down four at cruise to save fuel, and the valvetrain needs clean oil.

Chrysler 300 parts after production ended
The last Hemi powered 300C left the assembly line on 8 December 2023. Parts support carries on, because the 300 shares its platform, engines and gearbox across Stellantis.

On the 3.6 Pentastar V6 it is an oil or coolant leak from the plastic oil filter housing in the engine valley. On the 5.7 and 6.4 Hemi it is a tick, from broken exhaust manifold bolts or worn lifters. We confirm which before quoting.
Why is my Chrysler 300 leaking oil from the top of the engine?
Most often the plastic oil filter and cooler housing on the 3.6 Pentastar V6 has cracked or its seals have hardened, so oil pools under the intake. Left alone, oil and coolant can mix. We pressure test, confirm the source and can fit an aluminium housing.
What is the Hemi tick on a 300C, and is it serious?
It is a ticking noise from the 5.7 or 6.4 Hemi V8. A tick that fades as the engine warms is usually broken exhaust manifold bolts. A tick that stays, often with a misfire, points to lifters and can damage the camshaft, so book a check promptly.
How much does it cost to fix a Hemi tick in Dubai?
About AED 1,500 to 3,000 as a guide if it is the exhaust manifold bolts, based on a CarSwitch UAE figure for the Dodge Charger, which shares the engine. Lifters and camshaft cost far more and are quoted after inspection, so diagnose first.
Why will my Chrysler 300 not start when the lights work?
On 2011 to 2016 cars the TIPM power module or its fuel pump relay is a known cause, but a weak battery gives the same symptom. We test the battery and charging first, then the TIPM and relay, and only replace what has failed.
Why does my 300 shift harshly between 1st and 2nd?
Harsh 2nd to 1st downshifts and cold clunks are common on the 8 speed automatic used from 2012 on the V6 and 2015 on the V8. We scan the gearbox, check fluid and software, then test the valve body, and many cars avoid a full replacement.
Is it worth fixing an older Chrysler 300?
Usually yes, if the body and gearbox are sound. Common faults such as the oil filter housing, manifold bolts, TIPM or bushes cost far less than replacing the car, and parts are shared with Dodge and Jeep. We list what is urgent and what can wait.
