Rough running or reduced power
For TCe turbo petrol and other engines, checks distinguish ignition, air, fuel, wiring and boost concerns. A fault code alone does not identify a failed part.
Engine repairWarning light, warm AC, a key-card message or a hesitant gearbox? Mechanics services and repairs Duster, Koleos, Megane and other Renault models, with findings explained and a written price before work starts.
General fitted brake-pad guide AED 265–850 per axle including 5% VAT

You do not need to name the failed part before calling. Tell us the symptom, model and year so the assessment starts with the right system.

Engine repairFind where the fluid is escaping before replacing seals, housings or cooling parts. Engine coolant loss is different from cabin AC performance.
Stop safely for a serious warning and follow the dashboard instructions. Continuing can damage the engine. Never open a hot coolant reservoir.
A CVT, EDC dual clutch and conventional automatic require different checks and fluids. Diagnose a driving fault before buying a service package.
Transmission repairMeasure pads and discs; check calipers, tyres and suspension. A pad change cannot resolve every vibration or hydraulic fault.
Brake repairAssess joints, bushes and dampers before selecting a part or assembly. Alignment cannot correct a worn joint or damaged tyre.
Compare cooling at idle and while moving, airflow and cabin temperature. A leak, fan issue and compressor fault need different repairs.
AC repair and pricesShare the exact message and whether a spare card works. Card electronics, the vehicle battery and security-system faults are separate possibilities.
Key-fob repairTell us whether the problem concerns Media Nav, R-LINK, Easy Link or another system. Include when it freezes, restarts or loses a function.
These general Dubai planning ranges include the named parts, routine fitting and a 5% VAT allowance. They are not fixed Mechanics tariffs for every Renault.
| Work | Fitted budget including VAT (AED) | Included work and extras |
|---|---|---|
| Standard brake pads | 265–850 per axle | Compatible pads for both wheels and routine fitting. Discs, sensors and caliper work are additional. |
| Steel discs and pads | 840–2,100 per axle | Two conventional steel discs, matching pads and routine fitting. Specialist performance systems excluded. |
| Brake fluid replacement | 130–265 per vehicle | Specified fluid, routine replacement and bleeding. Hydraulic faults and leak repairs are separate. |
| R134a AC refill | 160–420 per vehicle | Routine recovery, evacuation, specified charge and cooling check. Identify the refrigerant first; leak repair is additional. |
| Conventional AC compressor | 1,260–4,725 per vehicle | Replacement compressor and routine fitting. Recharge, oil balancing and contamination-related work must be itemised. |
| Conventional shock replacement | 525–1,680 per axle pair | Two standard shocks and routine fitting. Complete struts, mounts and wheel alignment are additional. |
| Engine, gearbox or specialist electrical work | Quote after assessment | Confirm the fault, proposed repair, parts condition, fluids, labour, programming and final tests. |
Checked against Mechanics’ published repair guides on 15 October 2026. Rows describe separate jobs, not a combined package. Parts specification, quantity, access and additional faults change the total. Your quote states diagnosis, parts, labour, fluids, VAT and exclusions.
Send your Renault model and concern. Compare the identified work and suitable parts before approving a complete assembly.
Choose your Renault below. The engine, generation, gearbox and original market determine compatible parts and procedures.
A fluid change is maintenance. Shudder, a warning or delayed drive may need a fault investigation. Manual, CVT, EDC and conventional automatic units do not share one service method.

Identify the generation, engine and whether the vehicle is 2WD or 4WD before comparing work.
Describe warm vents separately from coolant loss or an engine-temperature warning.
For knocks or vibration, include tyre changes, impacts and when the noise happens. A 4WD fault needs the fitted drive system checked.
The engine determines oil requirements and timing-drive maintenance. Avoid applying one belt interval to every Duster.
The earlier 2.5-litre UAE Koleos brochure lists X-Tronic CVT. The newer UAE brochure lists an 8-speed automatic.
Use the generation and exact vehicle details. A CVT service is not the right default for every Koleos.
Whine, shudder, delayed engagement and a shift jolt need the appropriate tests before fluid work or internal repair.
Ask what remains serviceable and whether a component repair, rebuild or replacement is justified. Include fluids and required setup.
Engines and gearboxes vary by year and market; EDC dual clutch is fitted to some Renault applications.
Hesitation or low-speed judder can involve clutch operation, controls or adaptation. Diagnose the exact unit rather than treating all EDC gearboxes alike.
A card message does not establish that a new card is required. Mention any working spare and battery-related symptoms.
Logan, Sandero, Scenic, Laguna, Safrane, Talisman, Espace and Twingo enquiries need version and parts checks.
Express, Dokker and Trafic use different components from ZOE, Twizy and electric E-Tech models.
Mention loads, mileage and downtime needs. Cooling, brakes and servicing should match the actual vehicle and use.
Confirm the powertrain: an E-Tech name alone is not a complete description. Routine mechanical work does not include traction-battery or charging repairs.
High-voltage, security and restricted software work need suitable procedures and access confirmed before booking.
Renault’s UAE brochures show the difference between earlier X-Tronic Koleos and the newer automatic Koleos. Confirm the fitted version rather than choosing by name alone.

Bring the last invoice and maintenance record. The right service follows your engine, age, mileage and operating conditions.
Viscosity alone does not establish suitability. Confirm the Renault approval, fill quantity, filter and other items actually due.
Identify belt or chain equipment and the applicable schedule. Do not replace components solely because another Renault has reached a particular mileage.
Ask for the parts manufacturer, compatibility and new, used or rebuilt condition. Include labour, fluids, setup, lead time and the repair-specific warranty.
See oil-change services for inclusions. Existing manufacturer warranty or a service plan should be checked before approving paid work.
Renault uses CLIP and ADT diagnostic applications. Model coverage, subscriptions and security access affect which procedures are available; confirm specialist work with us before booking.
Renault’s official diagnostic information describes CLIP and ADT access. Mechanics is independent; manufacturer claims, recalls and restricted factory work belong with the authorised network.
Ask about the free initial inspection and Dubai pickup availability. Any further diagnostic work and charges are agreed before proceeding.
Call or send the model, year and symptom. A warning photo or recent invoice can help. We confirm the appointment and transport arrangements.
Assess the finding, proposed parts, fitting, extras and VAT. Agree the repair first; parts lead time and repair time are explained separately.
Review completed work, final checks and any remaining recommendations. Keep the invoice and service details with your vehicle history.

General fitted planning budgets include standard pads at AED 265–850 per axle and steel discs with pads at AED 840–2,100 per axle, including a 5% VAT allowance. They are not fixed Renault tariffs. The price table gives further examples; your vehicle and confirmed fault determine the itemised quote.
No. Earlier UAE 2.5-litre Koleos specifications list X-Tronic CVT, while the newer UAE brochure lists an 8-speed automatic. Identify your generation and fitted gearbox before choosing fluid or service work.
Follow the maintenance schedule for the exact engine. Belt and chain arrangements differ, and age can matter alongside mileage. Bring the service record so due work is not confused with parts already replaced.
Send the exact warning, model year and whether a spare card works. The card, vehicle battery, charging supply and security system need different checks. We confirm repair, replacement, coding and access requirements before accepting specialist work.
Ask us to confirm the required capability first. Charging, high-voltage and restricted programming work can require specialist equipment and access. Manufacturer warranty and recall enquiries should go through the authorised Renault network.
Contact Mechanics in Al Quoz with the car details and concern. We confirm appointment and Dubai pickup availability, then estimate completion after checking the work and parts supply. An enquiry is not a confirmed booking.
