In this guide
A Range Rover minor service in Dubai costs about AED 2,500 to 4,000 and a major service about AED 6,000 to 12,000 as a published guide. The Evoque and Velar sit lower or in their own bands, and online oil service packages start from AED 349. Repairs such as air suspension, timing chains and coolant leaks are where the real bills come from.

What a Range Rover service includes
Range Rover UAE lists a scheduled service every 13,000 km or 12 months, whichever comes first. Each visit has a fixed core, and some items join only when the schedule says they are due.
Every scheduled visit
- Engine oil to the Land Rover specification and a new oil filter
- Service reminder reset and a full module scan
- Brakes, tyres and wheel bearings checked
- Air suspension heights and leaks checked on the lift
- Battery and charging test, a must in Dubai heat
- Coolant, brake fluid and washer levels checked
When the schedule calls for it
- Cabin pollen filter, often yearly in Dubai dust
- Engine air filter
- Spark plugs on petrol engines
- Brake fluid, which runs on a time limit
- Coolant renewal by age
- Fuel filter on diesel engines and transfer box fluid

Minor and major, in Range Rover terms
Garages call the oil visit a minor service and the visit with filters, plugs and fluids a major service. Range Rover uses one schedule, so the label matters less than the list of parts.
Read our minor vs major service guide for how the two compare on any car.
Range Rover service cost in Dubai by model
Published Dubai and UAE figures differ by model and by how much each source includes. These are the clearest ones we found, with their dates.
| Model | Minor or routine service | Major service | Source and date |
|---|---|---|---|
| Range Rover L405 2012 to 2022 | AED 2,500 to 4,000 | AED 6,000 to 12,000 | CarSwitch Range Rover guide, 31 July 2026. Figures are given for the Range Rover generally |
| Range Rover L460 2022 on | Dealer service while under cover | Quoted by the dealer or after inspection | Cover terms from Range Rover UAE |
| Range Rover Sport L494 and L461 | Quoted after inspection | Quoted after inspection | No published Dubai figure found for the Sport alone |
| Range Rover Velar L560, 2017 on | AED 3,000 to 8,000 a year, routine service | AED 7,500 to 12,000 after 40,000 km | Alba Cars Velar guide, 23 April 2026. YallaMotor Velar guide, updated 6 October 2026, puts yearly upkeep at AED 3,000 to 5,000 |
| Range Rover Evoque L551, 2019 on | Oil change AED 500 to 800 | AED 5,250 at the dealer, AED 3,800 at a specialist, at 48,000 km | Alba Cars Evoque guide, 23 April 2026 |

Why one Dubai price says AED 349 and another says AED 6,000
ServiceMyCar lists a Range Rover major service from AED 349. It covers oil, an oil filter, top ups and checks, with some filters as labour only.
The CarSwitch Range Rover guide figure reflects a full schedule with parts, fluids and dealer level labour on a big V8 or V6.
Neither number is wrong. Compare quotes by the parts list, not by the package name.
The new L460 Range Rover
Most L460 cars from 2022 on are still inside the factory cover of 5 years or 150,000 km. Keep them on the schedule at Al Tayer Motors and keep every record.
Once cover ends, the same schedule can be followed at an independent workshop with genuine or equivalent parts.
Common Range Rover repair costs in Dubai
Servicing is predictable. The large Range Rover bills come from a short list of known faults, most of them made worse by heat, sand and age.

The 5.0 V8 cold start test
On 2010 to 2012 Range Rovers with the 5.0 V8, worn chain tensioners and guides rattle for the first few seconds after a cold start. Once oil pressure builds, the noise fades.
The fix is engine out, so it is quoted after inspection. We listen on a true cold start before saying anything.

Air suspension, part by part
Every full size Range Rover and Sport rides on air. A leaking spring makes the compressor run longer, and a tired compressor is the next bill.
We leak test each corner and read the height sensors first. You pay for the part that failed, not a full kit.

Coolant leaks before summer
On the 5.0 V8 and the 3.0 diesel, plastic pipes, the water pump and the thermostat housing turn brittle with heat. A small weep in October can empty the tank in a July traffic jam.
A cold pressure test finds the leak. A coolant flush alone runs about AED 250 to 800 on our coolant flush page, but a leak repair is quoted on the part.

Electrics start with the battery
A weak battery makes Range Rover modules log faults that are not real. We test the battery and charging first, then scan every module.
A large AGM battery runs about AED 600 to 1,200 or more fitted, as cited on our battery page. Some need registering to the car.
On 2017 L405 cars, water can also enter through the windscreen seal and A pillar. That is quoted after a water test, as our Range Rover repair page explains.
Al Tayer dealer or independent workshop?
Al Tayer Motors is the official Land Rover and Range Rover dealer in Dubai. The right choice depends on the age of the car and whether cover is still running.
Use Al Tayer Motors for
- Faults on cars inside the 5 year or 150,000 km cover
- Recalls and software campaigns checked by VIN
- Service plans you have already paid for
An independent workshop suits
- Cars past their factory cover
- A second opinion on a large dealer quote
- Genuine and quality equivalent parts priced side by side
The price gap is real. CarSwitch Range Rover guide says agency servicing runs about 30 to 50 percent higher, and the Alba Cars Evoque guide lists an Evoque 48,000 km major service at AED 5,250 at the dealer and AED 3,800 at a specialist.
UAE warranty and servicing outside the dealer
Does an independent service void it?
Not by itself. The Khaleej Times legal explainer says UAE rules stop dealers cancelling a warranty only because the car was serviced at an approved centre outside their network.
Keep itemised invoices that show the date, mileage, VIN and the oil and parts used. Warranty repairs and recalls still belong at Al Tayer Motors. Terms above are from Range Rover UAE.
How to keep a Range Rover bill down
Service on time, not late. Dubai heat ages oil and coolant faster, and missed items stack into one big visit.
Fix the first leak. One leaking air spring is cheaper than a spring plus a burnt out compressor.
Ask for a parts list. A quote that names each part is easy to compare with any other garage.
Test the battery every visit. It is the cheapest way to avoid warning lights and no starts.
Inspect before you buy. A used Range Rover inspection costs far less than its first big repair.

Range Rover service cost questions
How much does a Range Rover service cost in Dubai?
A Range Rover minor service in Dubai is about AED 2,500 to 4,000 and a major service about AED 6,000 to 12,000 as a guide, based on a CarSwitch guide from July 2026. Online packages start from AED 349 but cover far less. Your written quote depends on the model, engine and items due.
How often does a Range Rover need a service in the UAE?
Range Rover UAE lists scheduled servicing every 13,000 km or 12 months, whichever comes first. Cars that idle in summer traffic or drive on sand should not stretch that interval.
Is the Al Tayer dealer more expensive than an independent garage?
Usually yes. CarSwitch says agency servicing runs about 30 to 50 percent higher, and an Alba Cars guide lists an Evoque 48,000 km major service at AED 5,250 at the dealer against AED 3,800 at a specialist. Warranty and recall work should still go to Al Tayer Motors.
Will servicing my Range Rover outside Al Tayer void the warranty?
Not by itself. A Khaleej Times legal explainer says UAE rules stop dealers cancelling a warranty only because the car was serviced at an approved independent centre. Keep itemised invoices with the correct parts and fluids, and take warranty faults to the dealer.
How much does Range Rover air suspension repair cost in Dubai?
A Range Rover air suspension compressor is about AED 3,500 to 6,000 as a guide, according to CarSwitch. A single air spring is about AED 945 to 2,625 including VAT on our suspension repair page. We leak test first and quote only the failed part.
How much is a Range Rover 5.0 V8 timing chain repair?
On 2010 to 2012 cars with the 5.0 V8, the timing chain job is quoted after inspection because the engine usually has to come out. A cold start rattle for the first few seconds is the warning sign, so have it checked early.
Why is my Range Rover losing coolant?
On the 5.0 V8 and the 3.0 diesel, plastic coolant pipes, the water pump and the thermostat housing are the usual leak points as they age in the heat. We pressure test the cold system to find the leak before quoting.
How much does a Range Rover diagnostic scan cost?
An initial computer scan for a Land Rover or Range Rover is about AED 300 to 400 as a guide, based on our computer check page. Deeper fault tracing is agreed and priced after the first findings.
Does the Range Rover Evoque have air suspension?
No. The Evoque uses steel coil springs, so air suspension repairs do not apply to it. The full size Range Rover and Range Rover Sport use air suspension, and some Velar versions do too.
Where can I get my Range Rover serviced in Dubai outside the dealer?
Mechanics in Al Quoz, Dubai is an independent workshop for the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Velar and Evoque. We service to the Range Rover schedule and send a written, itemised quote before any work. Warranty and recall work stays with Al Tayer Motors.
