Tell us how many keys currently unlock and start the vehicle. Creating a second compatible key can be simpler than recovering access after the only key is lost. It also gives you a useful comparison if a future remote fault appears.
If every key is lost or one has been stolen, call with the car details and location first. The available recovery or manufacturer route, ownership checks, ordered parts and transport affect the price and timing. Do not assume a spare-key starting price covers an all-keys-lost job.
Ask whether a missing key can be removed from the electronic authorised-key list for your system. Electronic deactivation does not necessarily stop its mechanical blade opening a lock. Discuss that separate risk if the lost key could identify the vehicle.
After work, test the new key and every retained key with the vehicle. Keep a spare separately and protect fobs from liquid and impacts. Avoid leaving the only working key inside the car.
